Spring training has begun, and The New York Mets invited 75 athletes from Special Olympics Florida to participate in a baseball clinic at the Mets Complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Clinic for Champions, which the Mets started in 2015, provides a one-on-one opportunity for Special Olympic athletes to learn tips from Mets coaches and players.
"You realize what's important in life, and that's loving on each other and spreading that joy. They are everything that love and joy is, and it just pours out of them and into us," said Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo.
