Adults with disabilities get on-the-job training providing
complimentary gift-wrapping in the Holiday Suite at The Gardens Mall
The Arc of Palm Beach County’s Holiday Suite is now open at The Gardens Mall. It’s a place where shoppers can get their gifts wrapped for free, while The Arc’s clients get vital on-the-job training. The Arc supports children and adults with developmental disabilities. Dozens of clients are already employed throughout the community at businesses such as Publix, Otis Elevator, McDonald’s, and Walmart, thanks to the nonprofit’s Career Transition Program.
“Our clients are known for always showing up on time, possessing over-the-top customer service skills, and having an eagerness to work,” said Kimberly McCarten, president and CEO of The Arc. She added, “We are so grateful for this partnership with The Gardens Mall, which allows our clients to interact with customers, assist with transactions, and promote items for sale. The interpersonal skills training they’ll receive at the Holiday Suite is priceless.”

The Arc’s Holiday Suite at The Gardens Mall will offer gift wrapping services from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Christmas Eve. Volunteers from the community will work alongside The Arc’s clients as they greet customers and wrap gifts. The service is complimentary for shoppers at The Gardens Mall, and all of the donations made in the Holiday Suite will benefit The Arc.
Shoppers visiting the Holiday Suite will be able to purchase beautiful, handmade gifts from The Arc’s Artisan Program. Clients work throughout the year creating intricate mosaics, decorated pots, paintings, drawings, and much more. The artists behind the handmade art will receive a commission from the items sold at the Holiday Suite. The art will only be available for purchase on Thursday through Sunday throughout the holiday season.
🎁 Guests will find a new addition this year. The Holiday Suite will also feature The Gardens Mall’s “Top 10 Stocking Stuffers Under $50.” Shoppers can purchase gifts and get them wrapped all in one location. All proceeds from the gift sales also goes to The Arc.
