I'm a native Floridian, but like many, I was following the path of Hurricane Irma closely and understood the potential impact and danger she could/would cause. Thankfully, my home was safe, but I wanted to help others in my community.
I felt so fortunate, and wanted to give back so I registered with Volunteer Florida and the Red Cross.I was humbled & honored with hundreds of other to assist at a Palm Beach shelter during the storm. I encourage everyone to volunteer. It was such an incredible and life-changing mission to be of service with so many others. I truly believe God blesses us to bless others.
